About the Office
Towson University introduced its
first graduate degree program
in 1958. Since then, the Office of Graduate Studies has grown
to offer 80+ graduate degrees
and certificate programs serving
more than 4,000 students. The Office of Graduate Studies continues to help
thousands stay ahead of change
and in top demand by offering programs
in business, education, fine arts
and communication, health professions,
liberal arts, science and mathematics.
The full- and part-time programs are led by nationally prominent faculty who combine theory and applied, practical knowledge while encouraging collaboration on research projects and creative productions. Students have the opportunity to learn in an environment complemented by the diverse perspectives and experiences of their peers, who hail from a variety of geographic locations, cultures and ethnic backgrounds.
As Maryland ‘s Metropolitan University, Towson offers a valuable, yet affordable education that blends advanced levels of study with innovative conveniences. Graduate students may apply and register online, utilize academic and career services, enjoy small class sizes and accessible faculty. Classes are offered during the day, in the evening, on weekends, online, and at the suburban Baltimore campus and various off-campus locations.

development and to assist them in becoming
life-long learners. The office
implements this mission by:
- facilitate the delivery of high quality master's, doctoral and post baccalaureate programs of study that advance knowledge, increase practical and service skills, and develop responsible leadership abilities; and
- maintaining an environment for the University’s faculty and students that allows for quality research experiences that promote the growth of the scholarly fields and the benefit of the metropolitan and wider communities.
