graduate lecture series

Since the Fall 2000 Semester, the Graduate Lecture Series has brought one guest speaker to the campus each semester to discuss a topic that is timely and interesting to the campus and the community. The programs are free and open to the public, preceded by a reception. Usually the speaker talks for about 45 minutes to one hour and then encourages questions and comments from the audience.

The Fall 2008 program will feature Dr Martha Kumar, a non-partisan White House advisor/scholar and a faculty member in the Political Science Department of  Towson University.  She will speak about her work on Presidential Transitions.  The program will be on Monday, October 27, in the Potomac Lounge of the University Union.  There will be reception at 6:30 pm, followed by the talk at 7:00 pm.  Questions and comments will be taken following the talk.

The Spring 2008 program was replaced by a special celebration of the 50th anniversary of graduate studies (1958-2008) at Towson.
