Non-Degree Enrollment
Students may attend Towson University as a non-degree seeking student.
A student with a non-degree classification allows them to take courses
while awaiting admission to a degree program, to take course(s)
of interest without the desire to continue on for a degree or to
take courses necessary for job enhancement or certification requirements.
Admission Requirements
Students must submit the Graduate School application with the application
fee. In addition, the student must submit within the first semester
of coursework an official transcript verifying their highest conferred
degree.

Important Things to Remember
- Students who wish to move into a degree seeking program, you
can transfer up to 12 credits (4 courses) of graduate work from
non-degree status to degree status with the approval of your program
director
- Students taking courses as a non-degree are not eligible
for financial aid
- Some departments do not allow non-degree seeking students to
take their courses due to class sizes and class priority for degree
seeking students
- Students who are taking more than 6 credits in one semester
must submit Immunization
paperwork to the Dowell Health Center to be eligible for registration.
