Application Information

Academic Requirements

  • Evaluation of academic records (credential evaluation) from WES, AACRAO, or ASCISS
  • English proficiency confirmation (IELTS or TOEFL scores)
  • Any additional program requirements – see departmental website for specific information

Immigration Requirements

If you will be requiring sponsorship from Towson University as an F-1 student, you must also submit the following documents:

  • Copy of immigration documents: biographical page of passport, visa, I-94, and any other relevant immigration documents (i.e. current I-20, DS-2019, etc.)
  • Original financial statements (documenting funds for at least 1 year of tuition, fees, and living expenses).  Estimated expenses can be found at the following link:
  • http://www.towson.edu/isso/finances.asp.

    • If another person or agency will be sponsoring you, a Statement of Willingness needs to be included along with the original financial statement(s). 
  • If you are transferring your F-1 record from another U.S. institution, you must also submit Towson University’s Transfer Eligibility Certificate (http://www.towson.edu/isso/forms.asp).
  • If you will be bringing your dependent(s), your financial documents must include dependent expenses.  You must also submit the following documentation:
