The atmosphere here at Towson University’s College of Graduate Studies and Research is invigorating as we celebrate 50 years of excellence in graduate education. In that time our offerings have grown to more than 70 masters’, certificate and doctoral degree programs that span a wide range of disciplines.
We put our graduate students to work. Work in courses taught by professors who are recognized authorities in their fields, in graduate assistantships where they can apply their educations in real-world settings, and of course in careers for which Towson has provided many tools for success. And as our reputation for success grows, so does our student body. This fall we enjoyed a record number of graduate applications. We also enjoyed a record number of enrollments, which totaled more than 3,800.
We also support the University community in seeking, applying for and administering funding. In 2008 Towson was awarded a record $24 million in grants and contracts for projects vital to the quality of our education. Most of these projects provide financial help and research experience for our graduate students.
I invite you to come and share this excitement with us by exploring our site further, contacting our skilled and friendly staff for assistance, and beginning a conversation about your program of interest with a program director today.
