Diet vs. exercise: Which is More Effective in Maintaining Wellness?

It is essential for both men and women to live healthy lives so that they reduce their risk of disease or illness. To help ensure a healthy life should an individual diet or exercise? This research will determine which method or if both methods are effective in maintaining overall wellness. This literature review will be an analysis of past research articles to determine the benefits of dieting and exercising. The subjects in all of the research articles are human, college age (18-23 yrs.) students, both male and female. All major terms are defined as they relate to the topic. To prevent biased results, there is an equal amount of benefits for each category. The findings are organized into a poster presentation. Both diet and exercise have several crucial elements that are necessary to maintain wellness. Without diet and exercise, wellness cannot be achieved. Therefore, both diet and exercise are needed to maintain wellness.
