Undergraduate Research Services
Towson University places a high value on original, student-centered scholarly activities mentored by faculty as part of the learning experience. Original student scholarship has been demonstrated to improve student engagement, grades and helps prepare students for post-graduate careers and/or graduate studies. To facilitate such scholarly activities the university offers competitive grants to fund undergraduate research in all fields and to send students to professional meetings to report the outcomes of their scholarly activities. The university also sponsors an annual Student Research and Scholarship Expo each spring at which students from across campus share their work with the university community.
