Program Description
The Certificate of Advanced Study (CAS) in Counseling Psychology
is specifically designed for post-master degree students
who wish to take 30 units beyond the master degree to meet
educational and vocational objectives.
Each student's program will be designed to meet individual
needs and goals. Students may enroll in fewer than 30 units in order
to meet educational and vocational objectives. Students who already
possess a master degree in counseling or a closely related
field from an accredited institution may apply to Towson University
specifically to enter the CAS program.

Admission Requirements
Applicants for the CAS certificate must have completed a master degree in counseling or closely related field, submit two letters of recommendation, transcripts from all institutions of higher education, and a letter of intent indicating why the applicant is interested in pursuing this certification. Send these materials to the Graduate School Office, Towson University,
8000 York Road, Towson, MD 21252.
Admission will be determined on a rolling basis. Transfer credits will be accepted in accordance with Graduate School policies, and with the approval of the program director.
