Certificate Programs
Gerontology, Applied, Post-baccalaureate Certificate
The graduate certificate in Applied Gerontology consists of 18
units of graduate work designed to complement a graduate program
of study or as a stand-alone certificate. For more information about the program, see the department Web site or contact the program director, Donna Wagner, dwagner@towson.edu.

Admission Requirements
- A bachelor's degree with a minimum of 9 units of upper-level
course work in social sciences and/or experience working in the
field of gerontology and/or course work or training in the field
of gerontology.
- Meeting the minimum requirements for admission to Towson University's
Graduate School.
Send the following admission materials to the Graduate School
Office, Towson University, 8000 York Road, Towson, MD 21252:
- Two letters of recommendation
- A one- to two-page essay discussing career goals and the planned
focus of the graduate work
Certificate Requirements
- Completion of 18 units with a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or better.
- Satisfactory completion of 9 units selected from the core courses
required for the Master of Science in Applied Gerontology.
