Applied Gerontology Post-baccalaureate Certificate

Certificate Requirements

  • Completion of 18 units with a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or better
  • Satisfactory completion of 9 units selected from the core courses required for the Master of Science in Applied Gerontology:
  • GERO 601Seminar in Professional Gerontological Issues (3)
    GERO 620Legal Issues in Gerontological Practice (3)
    GERO 610Applied Gerontological Research Methods (3)
    GERO 684Gerontological Practicum (3)
    or
    GERO 685Independent Study in Gerontological Practice (3)
    HLTH 619 Organizing Systems of Care for Chronically Ill and Physically Dependent Populations (3)
    PSYC 610 Advanced Psychology of Aging (3)
  • Satisfactory completion of 9 units of graduate electives as approved by academic adviser
