Audiology Doctoral Program (Au.D.)
Admission Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum GPA of 3.00. All GPA
calculations for admission are based upon the last 60 units of
undergraduate and post-baccalaureate study.
- For international students a TOEFL score of 600 or above is
required. A U.S. degree does not waive the requirement of TOEFL
for this program.
- Successful completion of the following courses:
A course in life science (e.g., biology) (3-4)
Behavioral Statistics (3-4)
A course in social science (e.g., psychology,
sociology) (3)
Phonetics (3)
Hearing Science OR Hearing and Speech Science
(3)
Anatomy and Physiology of the Auditory and
Vocal Mechanism (3)
Introduction to Audiology (3)
Basic Mathematics (3)
A course in physical science (e.g., chemistry,
physics) (3-4)
Introduction to Human Communication (3)
Language Development (3)
Send the following admission materials to the Graduate School Office,
Towson University, 8000 York Road, Towson, MD 21252:
- A one-two page personal statement answering the following question: "Is there a place for clinically based research in an Au.D.
program?"
- GRE scores
- Three letters of recommendation (include graduate school rating sheet)
The application deadline for the Audiology Doctoral Program is February 1 for fall admission only.
