Admission Requirements

• A baccalaureate degree, preferably in art.
• A minimum GPA of 3.00 for full admission, 2.50 for conditional admission or 2.50 for provisional admission. All GPA calculations for admission are based upon the last 60 credits of undergraduate and post-baccalaureate study.
• Submit a CD (Mac/PC compatible, or one CD for each platform). A contact sheet with thumbnail images and descriptions (name, year, dimensions, materials) must accompany the CD. The CD must contain:
• 20 individual .jpg images:
• 72 dpi
• No larger than 1024x786 resolution
• Image names should be lastname_firstname_##.jpg (i.e. smith_john_01.jpg)
• A PowerPoint presentation of those images
• Any QuickTime/interactive files in addition and supplemental to the 20 jpg images

Send the following admission materials to the Graduate School Office, Towson University, 8000 York Road, Towson, MD 21252:

• A letter of intent: statement of your objectives
• A current resume
• Two narrative letters of recommendation (Hard copies or online recommendations are accepted – hard copies must attach personal assessment form.)
• A CD portfolio of work: 20 labeled jpegs or PDF with 20 images on a CD with image list.
