College of Fine Arts and Communication

Communication management (M.S.)

Recommended Course Sequence

Students enrolled in the Master of Science in communication management will take their first five courses in the core (listed below) within a cohort-- a group of students who will complete the initial five courses in the core in three semesters--fall, spring and either summer or the following fall semester (as scheduled by the department). The advantage of joining a cohort is that students may build stronger relationships among their fellow students and be better able to work on a variety of team projects, both in the classroom and online. Eligible students (those who have earned no more than one C for any of the first five courses and have filled out a certificate graduation form) will receive a Graduate Certificate in Strategic Public Relations and Integrated Communications.

The student's final semester(s) should be focused on completing the thesis. Students may register for thesis hours only after having completed all the coursework.
