
Kinesiology (M.S.)
Admission Requirements
For admission to the graduate program, candidates must possess an undergraduate degree in physical education, kinesiology or equivalent degree background; have achieved a minimum GPA of 3.00 (2.75 for conditional admission) based upon the last 60 units of undergraduate and post-baccalaureate study from NCATE, ACSM or other related accredited programs; and be certified/licensed by Maryland Department of Education (or another state) to teach physical education or health and physical education. Additionally, the applicant must submit an essay that includes:
- the student’s reasons for wishing to enter the M.S. program
- an explanation of the ways in which the program will enable the applicant to achieve personal and/or professional goals
- a preliminary overview of the student’s proposed plan of study
