Occupational Therapy (M.S.)

Towson’s graduate program in occupational therapy (OT) provides students with extensive laboratory experience and access to research opportunities throughout the Baltimore-Washington area. With a Master of Science in OT, you will be prepared for a rewarding career in one of the fastest growing fields in health care. Towson’s M.S. in occupational therapy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).

By working closely with faculty in small classroom settings, you will gain the essential skills to succeed in clinical practice, research, education or administration. If you are a part-time student, you can take day, evening and occasionally weekend courses to fit your busy schedule. Many courses combine online learning with classroom instruction. Occupational therapy students have presented at the AOTA national conference and the World Federation of Occupational Therapists Congress.

  • Professional – students who are not occupational therapists are eligible for the Professional Master’s Degree Program, which includes required prerequisite and elective course work.
