How To Finance Your Graduate Education

For assistance in financing your education, complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Your FAFSA determines how much aid you are eligible for from the government through Towson’s Financial Aid Office. Programs administered through the Financial Aid Office that are based on the completed FAFSA include:

  • The Federal Perkins Loan
  • Federal Work-Study
  • Federal Direct Student Loans
Financial Aid
  • Financial Aid packages are available through Towson University’s Financial Aid Office.
  • There are two campus-based Financial Aid programs:
    • The Graduate Diversity grant is designed to help minority students. Applications are available at the Center for Student Diversity in Suite 313 of the University Union or call 410-704-2051 for more information.
    • The Charlotte Newcombe Foundation Scholarship for Women is designed for second-career women and women seeking career advancement. To learn more about the eligibility requirements and to obtain an application, contact the Women’s Center, located in Room 313 of the University Union, at 410-704-2051.
NASP Minority Scholarship

The National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) offers a scholarship to students interested in pursuing a graduate degree in the field of psychology. Each year, NASP awards at least one minority student with a $5,000 scholarship. Visit NASP online for more information.
